Many believe that HTML5 is the death of Flash. In some areas on the web, this may be true. But when it comes to games and interactive videos, which may be housed in a dedicated server hosting facility because of their high traffic volumes, Flash will continue to be the medium of choice.
If I ask a question, how many are interested to have a HTML5/CSS3 powered website; many of us would say YES. But how many of us can code a HTML5/CSS3 website from scratch? Probably few.
CSS3 and HTML5 have started conquering the Web for last couple of years and continue to stun web community with a wide range of features. Today, I’m going to introduce you to CSS3 @font-face rule. I am sure that many of you might read about it somewhere in this web or have used or are using it or maybe totally new to this.
Img to Css is an online tool that converts images to pure HTML and CSS which you can embed in emails without being blocked by the email provider. It is created by Daniel Woelfel. The amazing thing is, the conversion creates a perfect pixel-for-pixel copy of your uploaded image.
Since I always insists using CSS3 instead of images, here is a good example of CSS usage to create a 3D ribbon. Remember this is pure CSS, there is no image used in this to achieve it. I thank James Koster for making this happen and I hope to see even more CSS tuts from him.
