The Blogger team is trying something new to their world’s most used blogging platform. Recently they previewed the Blogger dashboard with all new looks and today Blogger has previewed their five new dynamic themes that uses the latest web technology – HTML5, CSS3 and AJAX.
- Infinite scrolling: read more posts without having to reload or click to a second page
- New layouts: different views suited to different types of blogs
- Speed: download images as you view them, not all at once in advance
- Interactivity: there are now more ways to experience and engage with blog content
The five new template are really attractive and I must admit I have fallen in love with the five new Blogger templates. Let me take a little walk through to all those five new templates
The Flipcard template uses AJAX to switch between recent posts, post by date, post by labels and posts by Author.
This is a perfect theme for photo blogs. A best template for photo gallery of both personal and commerical
Mosaic suits every blog that has good quality image in it. Most probably it suits the most for a cooking blog which talks about making delicious foods 🙂
Sidebar is a very simple layout and in the same user friendly too. Switching posts never been easier like this.
Finally the fifth template is Timeslide. The template has beautiful in every aspect. The most recent posts gets thumbnail where the older posts gets a simple look. When compared with all the five template, this one is my favorite in terms of its usability and its look.
All the theme will be rolled out to the Blogger users in a month or so, however you can preview these themes for your blog by just entering /view at the end of your Blogger blog URL. For an example if your blog URL is www.draft.blogger.com just add /view to make it www.draft.blogger.com/view
